Songwriter Waylon Jennings was born this day in 1937 with hard working Jupiter in Capricorn. By the time of his first Jupiter return, his career as a performer was well established. Jupiter in Capricorn pupils (ruled by Saturn) understand the art of the business deal and can easily decide whether a task is going to be good for their careers--or not.
At the age of 21, when transiting Jupiter was conjunct his natal Uranus, Waylon 'lost' the coin toss that would have secured his seat on the ill-fated plane that crashed with Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens as well as the pilot Roger Peterson aboard.
If you'd like to hear the rest of the story, I will be lecturing at the Astrological Association's conference on "The Day the Music Died" on 13 September 2015, 10:15am at Wyboston Lakes Conference Centre (near Cambridge).
